Project Description:  Partial renovations, including the replacement of pool equipment; reroofing of pool area with new metal deck; painting; and infilling of exterior pools at the Somerset Alumni and Aquatic Center.

The project also consists of turf improvements at the Wm. M. Clark Athletic Field. 

The Work includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition, site clearing, dewatering, earthwork, trenching and backfill, storm drainage, vinyl coated chain link fencing, base construction and related surface work for artificial grass field,infilled synthetic turf system, cast-in-place concrete, unit masonry, steel deck, metal fabrications, miscellaneous carpentry, thermoplastic membrane roofing, sheet metal flashing and trim, joint sealants, door hardware, fiberglass reinforced plastic doors and frames,horizontal access doors, acoustical panel ceilings, high performance coatings, coating systems for rehabilitation of swimming pools, track and field equipment, scoreboards, swimming pools, swimming pool filtration, swimming pool piping, HVAC,electrical (power, communication, and lighting) systems, and complete clean-up and removal of construction debris. 

There are alternate bids indicated in the contract documents. See Section 01230 - Alternates.The Owner intends to purchase significant quantities of material items over the amount of $5,000.00 through direct purchase orders for this project in order to save sales tax.  These items within the project will bid through the prime contractors,but be purchased directly by the Somerset Board of Education. Interested material suppliers may contact the Architect, RBS Design Group, PSC, for the names of prime contractors who have expressed interest in bidding the project.  

Contractors shall refer to Section 00200, Instructions to Bidders, section 6.6: page 8 of Section 00410, Form of Proposal; Section 00411, Purchase Order Form; and Section 00412, Purchase Order Summary Form.

Project Description: 

1)       Utilities-Water-Irrigation (2" line),a)Flagpole - 3 (1 30', 2 20')

2)       Dugouts-

a)       Benches wood with wood back and wooden top shelf at least 45' of 50' dugout

b)       Helmet Rack-16 openings/dugout

c)        Bat Rack-20 bats/dugout

3)       Backstop-

a)       3' high poured concrete x 135' long

b)       Must be padded on field side for approximately the 45 behind home plate

c)        Backstop net freestanding 4 pole (may have to be 6 pole) system with 40' tall net

d)       Would like back stop net to start and stop at each dugout

4)       Fence-

a)       6' black powder coated chain link with yellow top cap

b)       Two bullpens (one on each line past dugouts closer to corners), home 30'x100', visitor 30'x70', both bullpens need single gate field side and the fence needs to be 4' black powder coated chain link with top cap.

c)        Wide double gate on left field line between dugout and bullpen

d)       15' warning track on entire outfield wall and down foul lines all the way to artificial turf. Use crushed aggregate 2 and 1 warning track material.

5)       Infield-Artificial Turf

a)       All material associated with installation i.e.. Rock, sand, grading, anchors, concrete, drainage, etc.

6)       Irrigation-Outfield only

a)       Rain gage and 360-degree spickets around the outfield.

7)       Outfield Turf-Bermuda sprig and warning track installed (15 wide) around perimeter of fence to stop at turf.

8)       Foul Poles 40 ft.

All rough grading for the baseball complex and the new roadway will be completed prior to the start of construction of the baseball complex.

The following need to be add-alternates to the bid:

*         Field lighting

*        Construction of the press box and sewer line to the building.

*         Batting cage structure on the left field line. 80'x40' covered hitting area. Open on all four sides, netted on all sides and top with divider netting, electric, lights, etc. Metal roof and gutters crushed aggregate floor for turf. 

*         Brick face for the dugouts and press box. Split face block can be in main bid.

*       Scoreboard needs to be one of the following: Daktronics BA-2125, Nevco 1606, or Fair-Play BA 7126-2.

*         60'x 40' Batter Eye.

Project Description: Additions of approx. 4,800 SF new space and renovations of approx. 7,900 SF within the existing hospital areas of the building. This work is further described as the addition of a 4 bed ICU unit and an Operating Room, along with the interior fit up of existing shell space of the previous old kitchen wing for patient rooms and the renovation of other areas adjacent areas to relocate nurse station / security station. Project will require selective demolition / construction barriers to facilitate "Phased Construction", The contractor shall cooperate and coordinate with the owner to keep one operating room fully functional as well as the nurse station.  Project includes but is not limited to - site and civil work. Site concrete and paving, structural concrete, and masonry. Structural steel modifications to roof truss systems and plank roof systems and decking; Temporary structural supports; miscellaneous steel and miscellaneous system  components; Roofing systems - new and repairs of existing single ply systems, new work for roof penetrations, curbs and roofing membrane and insulation systems; Rough carpentry; Finish carpentry; casework and woodwork; Solid core doors and hollow metal frames /door glazing; Thermal aluminum windows and insulated glazing; fiberglass sound insulation; Drywall systems for walls and ceilings, Acoustic ceiling systems, Painting, solid vinyl, vct tile, ceramic tile, other special floor coverings. Signage, miscellaneous specialties, hospital specialties curtain track, lifts and track systems, toilet room accessories. hydronic H.V.A.C. systems extension, Plumbing and fixtures; hospital fixtures / bariatric equipment.  Electrical services and fixtures, emergency backup services. Mechanical System modifications to existing and New Systems for new areas.
