Whitley County Board of Education received an award from EnergyStar on their energy efficiency at the new Pleasant View Elementary. The new state-of-the-art school had a one year savings of over $25,000 in energy costs, which is a 55 percent drop in cost below the older smaller elementary school. The new Pleasant View Elementary School is ranked top 20 out of 359 schools in Kentucky on their energy efficiency.
