Vance MitchellVance Mitchell joins the Branscum Construction team as Director of Business Development. He graduated from Kentucky College of Business and also attended the American Institute of Management and Business Administration and US Army Logistics Management College. He spent 14 years with the Commonwealth of Kentucky Administrative Office of the Courts, managing their Facilities Department and overseeing $500 million dollars of capital construction. Several of which were Branscum Construction projects.

Vance has been married to his wife Kendra Mitchell since 1996. They have one son, Teron (19) who is a freshman at Western Kentucky University. Vance lives in Stanford, Kentucky and enjoys working out, sports, and anything outdoors.

When Vance was asked about his job he said: "I am very excited to be a part of this amazing company and I look forward to what our future holds."

Bryan PopplewellEarlier in 2016, Bryan Popplewell became the newest estimator at Branscum Construction Company. Popplewell is a US Air Force veteran, serving for six years as an Aircraft Maintainer. During his service, he earned an Associates and a Bachelor's degree. After his military service, he spent several years working in contract compliance for the Department of Defense. His construction industry career has included positions in the field, project management, estimating, as well as owning a sub-contracting firm.

Bryan was born and raised in Russell County and is grateful and excited to be able to raise his family, in his hometown.  Bryan plans to continue his education, working towards an MBA from Xavier University.

Congratulations Whitley County Board of Education on recognition received form EnergyStar on their energy efficiency at the new Pleasant View Elementary. The new state of the art school had a one-year savings of over $25,000 in energy costs, which is a 55 percent drop in cost below the older smaller elementary school. The new Pleasant View Elementary School is ranked top 20 out of 359 schools in Kentucky on their energy efficiency. Branscum team members Casey Satterly and Larry Siler were on hand for the presentation at the Whitley Co School Board meeting.

Branscum Construction is proud to be part of the First Spec Building to be constructed in Edmonton / Metcalfe County.

A groundbreaking was held May 24th, to officially kick off construction of the new 30,000 sqft industrial spec building. There was a large crowd on hand to help celebrate the great moment for Metcalfe County.

The Branscum Team is being led by Project Manager Casey Satterly and Superintendent Jim Rock. The new spec building is expected to be completed in November 2016.

Branscum Construction Superintendent Richard Bunch was honored at the Adair County Board of Education monthly meeting held on March 17th, 2016.  The board presented Bunch with a plaque and recognized him for his hard work and dedication to building the new bus garage.

Recently, Branscum Construction was awarded the new Infiniti of Lexington Project. This new automobile dealership is 21,750 sf and will be located on 801 East New Circle Road, Lexington, Kentucky 40505. The project is already under construction and is set to be completed in Fall 2016. The Branscum Team working on this project is Project Manager Jeff Cook and Superintendent Larry Siler.

Casey Satterly joins the Branscum Construction team as our newest Project Manager. She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor's in Architecture. Before joining our team she worked at RossTarrant Architects (2006-2015) in Lexington, KY and received her professional license in 2010. While there Casey specialized in the design of educational facilities and was part of the design team for the Pleasant View Elementary in Williamsburg, KY.  Branscum Construction was the Construction Manager on this project, and as Casey joined Branscum she was able to oversee the final stage of construction.  She is currently the Project Manager on the new Adair County Bus Garage in Columbia, KY and Rite Aid in Russell Springs, KY, and SMC in Nicholasville, KY.

Casey has been married to her husband Landon Satterly since 2004, the newest member to our Precision Erection Team. They have two beautiful daughters, Loren (4) and Elle (1) and one lovable dachshund, Oliver. Casey grew up in Russell Springs and is thrilled to raise their girls in her hometown.  

When Casey is asked about her job she says "I love what I do!...it's definitely a passion!"

Josh Branscum and Stephen Branscum visited with Congressman Hal Rogers December 22, 2015, on behalf of the AGC of American and AGC of Kentucky to thank him for his continuing support of the Construction Industry and to discuss issues of importance.

Josh Branscum is currently serving as the President of the AGC of Kentucky which represents over 600 companies within the Commonwealth. This is a one year term which expires in November of 2016.
