The design of the new Russell County Public Library is uniquely crafted around the concept of the library being a catalyst to transforming and unifying the two cities within Russell County, with the goals of increasing visits and improving the sense of belonging for every age and interest throughout the entire county. The new library will offer easy-access parking, and a one-story floor plan that is open and accessible to people of all physical abilities. The library will offer more public computers, more evening and weekend operational hours, and three distinct public meeting rooms, available for use to county residents.
