Liberty Elementary Gymnasium

{loadmoduleid 182} The Casey County Board of Education wanted to keep the 1936 Liberty Elementary gymnasium due to it’s history. The architect, Sherman Carter Barnhart worked with the board to design ways to keep the bones of the WPA gymnasium but to update the gym while adding additional classrooms and a maintenance facility. Russell County Auditorium / Natatorium

This building consists of 10 new classrooms, a large multi-purpose room, an auditorium that seats 750, and a natatorium with a competition size swimming pool. The project was brought in under budget and on schedule. Branscum Construction was hired as the Construction Manager.
